All swimmers must have completed a prerequisite event signed off by a Mersey Swim Coach. THIS IS A LIMITED ENTRY

EVENT with NO ENTRIES ON THE DAY The format for the swim will be the same as previous years with consideration for COVID-19 guidelines if required. One safety boat per POD. All pods in matching colour hats and swim floats to be worn by all swimmers.

PLEASE NOTE – (NO FLOAT NO SWIM). You can swim in skin or wetsuit.

Each POD will be raising funds for their own nominated Team, Club, or charity. Contact Liam Hanlon 07966529133 for any further details.

All pods travel from Monks Ferry to the start and remain with their POD until the start time.

(THERE WILL BE A ROLE CALL ON THE COCKLE INSLET SLIPWAY). Bring a top to wear whist waiting to enter the water.

All swimmers are to register together in their POD at the same time.

All swimmers will enter the water with their POD and wait at the start line together until instructed to start.

All PODs will nominate a lead swimmer who will lead the POD during the swim.

All swimmers must remain in small groups with no less than two.

If a swimmer is separated from their pod, they will be extracted from the water for safety reasons.

The designated safety boat will be equipped with a safety blanket if you are extracted from the swim.

It will be the boat safety team for your pod that will make the decision regarding safety.

THE DECISION TO EXTRACT YOU IS THEIR DECISION AND NOT YOURS!!

PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS IS NOT A RACE BUT A TEAM EVENT TO GET ALL SWIMMERS ACROSS SAFELY.
